MIKKY GEORGE

A vast and loud presence, Oakfields Musical and Physical Theatre graduate Mikky George, is a Cape Town performer whose work encompasses burlesque, movement theatre, written theatre and dance. They are heavily inspired by religious imagery, pop culture and the intersection of New Age Myth and Old Age Mythology. From their rendition of the Minotaur Myth with ATHENS IS BURNING AND THE BULLS ARE IN THE PARKADE in collaboration with the band GAZE, and the gritty saint performance of JOAN for The Grand Exhibition and Rouge Revue in 2024, Mikky George assembles their pieces into an amalgamation of myth, pop culture and intensity.
